The Ballymaloe house is a lodge that runs a restaurant as well, but you are free to enter it without being a guest if the price of 50$ per dinner doesn't seem uncomfortable to you. All "raw materials" are taken from the gardens, orchards and stables of the inn. The nice thing is that they give cooking lessons in the former apple barn, stretching from 1 day to several weeks.
