The Ross castle, one of the Irish heritages...I've never been there, but a friend of mine surveyed the area, and he wasn't thrilled. The castle is 2.5 km far from St. Mary's Cathedral; If it's a bore you can at least have a look for the cruises that have their departure points at Ross. There 're one hour boat tours on Lough Leane lake, and bookings must be made before at the tourist office.
