I heard Killarney is in fact a park-town. What can you tell me about this reputed National Park?(give a different answer) .
Well, the National Park is enormous indeed, more than 10.000 hectares, turning Killarney into a green-themed city. The mountain landscape, more like hillls, offers handful escapes in the middle of nature. The doorstep three lakes were my Killarney lovers: Lough Leane, Muckross Lake and Upper Lake. Buy the Killarney Area Guide at the tourist office for 1.90 if you need park tips. The pedestrian entrance is opposite St. Mary's Cathedral, while cars enter through N71.
