The Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin

Posted 1 year ago by pint in response to avatar dumo's question: I'm looking for a classy hotel in Dublin, I would like it to have fireplace and armchairs...thanks for help (give a different answer) .

The Shelbourne, on 27 ST. Stephen's Green, is one of the last 19th century hotels in Dublin, a very elegant place, where the 1922 Irish Constitution was drafted. At 289$ per night, rooms have chandeliers and fireplaces, but for lingering in an armchair you have to move to Lord Mayor's Lounge, where guests serve sumptuous tea and nibble their fingers of the accompanying sandwich.
